The summer celebrations continue in Owego, NY with the start of the Tioga County Fair 2017!
The fun begins August 2nd-August 5th at the Tioga County Fair grounds, located in Marvin Park, Owego, NY.

July is in full swing in Owego, and to continue the summer festivities is the First Friday Art Walk on July 7th from 5-8!
Not only is it the Art Walk, it’s also the start of the Get Your Flea Fix on Rt. 96 flea markets and yard sales! Find all the information HERE for the days/times and route for this now annual event.
On Friday evening at Early Owego, our own Jim Mead will be unveiling his newly restored 1951 open wheel sprint car; it’s a beauty!!

Owego Elks Emporium will be open Sunday, July 2nd from 8 am-3 pm.
Early Owego Antique Center will also be open from 10-6….make it a day filled with antiquing!
Come on out to the 2nd annual Get Your Flea Fix on Rt. 96 yard sales and flea market, taking place in and around Tioga County, NY!
It all happens on Friday and Saturday, July 7th-8th from 9 am-4 pm and will feature miles and miles of yard sales, flea markets, and food vendors from around the area!

Another successful Strawberry Festival is in the books, and boy, was it ever fun!!
More bands than ever, big crowds, and of course, strawberries! Didn’t make it this year? Mark your calendar for 2018!
Here are just a few highlights from the 2-day festival
First the block party, then the Strawberry Festival, and now Emporium Sunday!
Bring dad out to the Owego Elks Emporium Sunday, June 18th from 8-3. Lots of guy stuff, along with good food!
Early Owego Antique Center is open from 10-6; stop by after visiting the Emporium.
The winery season is in full force, and while the Finger Lakes area has some of the most outstanding wineries, did you know there are a few local wineries in and around Owego?
Glen Park Vineyards is located on Allen Glen Rd. in Owego and is known for their dry artisanal wines and hard cider. In 2016, they were also permitted to start serving local craft beer by the glass! Make sure to check out their events section for special tastings, etc.
While Black Bear Winery isn’t located in Owego, it’s only a short drive to Chenango Forks, NY. They too are available for tours and tastings year round and offer beautiful facilities for special events! They also use local farmers and their produce for all their needs.
And if you want to venture from Owego to Ithaca NY, make sure you hit the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail for a full day of wineries, attractions, and food; not to mention the gorgeous scenery!
The 37th annual Owego Strawberry Festival will be held on Friday, June 16th and Saturday, June 17th.
This is Owego’s premier summer event, with visitors from all over, both near and far!
